Ceramic overglaze painting is a traditional Chinese art form. Zhao Zhongliang is a young ceramic artist who studied landscape painting on ceramics from renowned ceramic master, Lu Ru. Zhao also learned painting with renowned Hong Kong artist, Cheung Pak-Yue and has introduced Lingnan School of Painting style into ceramic painting.
Zhao is well versed in Chinese painting and has mastered the essence of decorative art, techniques and creativity. He incorporates elegance, grandeur, solidity and sincerity into his works. With the spirit and essence of Chinese painting and calligraphy, Zhao’s ceramic paintings enrich the beauty of the porcelain and compliments it with added aesthetics.
