Bamboo weaving refers to the process of warp and woof weaving of bamboo threads and strips creating infinite variety of pattern, design and form. There are different types of bamboo weaves:- graphic pattern weave, object weave and mixed weave.

Rattan Weaving

Rattan weaving is a time-honoured traditional craftsmanship using rattan for weaving all kinds of objects and furniture. Rattan goods are mainly produced in Jiangmen, Zhongshan and Foshan in Guangdong Province.

This traditional craft is difficult to master and some craftsmen spend a lifetime mastering it. Unfortunately, it may become obsolete, with the lack of succession. Various countries are committed to implementing measures to conserve this ancient art medium.
